It's been a busy month here at Miss Vivienne with the launch of our Christmas collection, saying goodbye to Bex, welcoming our new intern and staying busy making all your orders! Transparency is super important to us here at Miss V so we wanted to share the good, the bad and the ugly events of November.
The Christmas Launch Shoot
We kicked of the month with our Christmas collection launch shoot. Family friend, Isla came into the Miss V studios for the day to model our new pieces. Isla modelled our 'Isla' collection back in April 2021, which is also named after her.
Getting Business Savvy
That night, after the Christmas shoot, Molly and Vivienne headed up to Edinburgh for an evening of all things marketing! They attended the Action Coach 'Raise Your Hands' seminar where they learnt a bunch of modern marketing strategies. Both of them came away motivated with exciting new ideas and the inspiration to start this blog, so keep an eye out for fun new things to come!

A New Start
Vivienne hired a new intern this month, Anna (Me!), who actually writes the Miss V blogs each week! I'm currently in my final year of University studying fashion design and joined the team to gain experience of marketing in a small business. So far I've helped create the marketing strategy for the Christmas launch, shot the Christmas collection flat lays and have been writing these weekly blogs!
The Big Christmas Launch
November was hugely successful for us, with the Christmas collection being our biggest launch yet! You all sent in so many orders that we had to order a whole new supply of fabric. When Vivienne went to order more of our 'Nice' fabric she was told that her account would be restricted until she placed a bulk order. As a small business it would have been impossible to make use of so much fabric!
With the mail strikes holding up other supply orders and Bex getting ready to leave, the mood in the Miss V studio was a bit low. However, Melanie at our local fabric shop came to the rescue and was able to share the bulk order of fabric with us! Vivienne then received a notification that the fabric was going to take 2 weeks to be manufactured, resulting in a 3 week delay! Unfortunately, these things happen and we just have to roll with the punches. Not to worry though, we have put together a strategy to make sure all the Christmas orders leave the studio on time for the big day. We can't wait for you all to get your goodies!
All in all November has been a turbulent month for us but we pride ourselves on staying positive and enjoying the process. Thank you for riding the rollercoaster with us. Tune in again for next months round up!
